Hello everyone!  My name is Bernadette or Bernie for short.  When I first came to PAWS they called me "New Girl" until my foster mom gave me a proper name.  I'm looking for my forever home and I'm really hoping one of you lovely people will help me find it!  I have been with my foster mom for a couple of months now and I was so nervous around her for the first month!  I was worried she wasn't going to like me or give me the pets I really wanted.  But I found out she's a nice lady, and her two cats are my besties now.  I LOVE running and playing with them!

I've heard about these things called dogs, but I've never seen one.  They sound scary, but I think if I found a calm one I might be okay to call it friend.  I've never been around children, but my foster mom says I would do well with kids 8 and up. It's not that I wouldn't do well with babies, but I would probably get scared and scratch them if they tried to catch me  I've never scratched my foster mom but she knows when I get a little nervous I like to hide for a few hours.  

If you decide I'm a good fit for you, you have to know I will probably hide for a bit until I get comfortable in my new surroundings.  I'm very shy at first, but after a couple of weeks I'll be bouncing around!  Cat trees are soooo much fun! I've been really good about using those, instead of the furniture to scratch!  I loves sleeping at the end of the bed, and being petted as I fall asleep.  My hair can get a little crazy too, so I'll need a brush!  I hope to meet you soon!
