Katie is a young black and white Border Collie with a very nice personality.  She is very intelligent and learns new things quickly.  She is totally nonaggressive and gets along well with other dogs although she does try to herd them.  If you are not familiar with the Border Collie breed, please do some research before you consider applying for Katie.  Border Collies are among the most intelligent and most obedient and loyal of all dog breeds.  Few dogs are as work oriented as the Border Collie. They need a job to do and MUST get sufficient physical exercise and mental stimulation every day in order to be well balanced.  Without daily physical and mental exercise, this breed can be a disastrous and destructive housedog. If you are able to give Katie the exercise and mental stimulation she needs, she will be a lifelong loving & loyal companion.  But she must have a home that will honor and accommodate both her brains and her desire to work.

Katie is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms, been dewormed, and started on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.
