About Sawyer

  • Housetrained: Yes
Curious, laid back, and playful, ALL kitten! Little man Sawyer is the epitome of the insufferable baby brother. He believes everyone and everything is there to serve him, he should get whatever he wants and he gets into everything. The world is there to be explored - every square inch of it! To include the depths of every closet, cabinets above and below, behind the built in trash bin, the top of the refrigerator, bathtubs, toilettes and even the dishwasher. When he isn't exploring he's usually getting himself into some sort of silly trouble. His idea of fun is diving head first into the litter box while it's being cleaned or better yet the bag the litter comes in so he can roll around in it. Do cats take dust baths?! His foster mom once zigged when he zagged and he got a headful of fresh litter. Didn't phase him in the slightest! He delights in waiting until his bigger siblings are positioned to "do they're business" as the ideal time to surprise attack. He wants nothing more than to prove he's a big boy and can handle everything his older kitty siblings can do and will go to great lengths to prove it, Whether that's climbing to the top of the highest point in the house, holding on for dear life while dangling from a window valance in an attempt to catch the birds outside (it WAS an impressive jump, I'll give him that!), antagonizing the elder resident cat ("Don't poke the bear, Sawyer.), pushing his little sister out of her food bowl or playfully stalking the foster's old dog (thankfully the dog's only 5 lbs and used to kitten antics), Sawyer knows no boundaries. Nor does he know fear. While the other kittens run or shy away from the vacuum cleaner Sawyer runs towards it ready to challenge the noisy beast. He tries to paw at it while it passes by and chase it around. He then crouches down with his little face extremely close to get a better look at this mechanical monster's growling and rotating "mouth". His foster family now secures him safely in another room while they sweep. Sawyer's a whirling dervish of uncontained kitten energy that's both invigorating and exhausting at the same time. One the one hand you have this adorable, inquisitive bundle of fur that will definitely keep you on your toes as well as entertained while on the other hand a mischievous miscreant that you secretly hope quickly outgrows this phase or just goes to sleep! Sawyer certainly has a zest for life and he's always up for some new adventure. We think he will be needing all 9 of his kitty lives but he will also make for the perfect traveling companion! If you think you can handle this little guy, fill out an application now and a PAWS associate will set up a meet and greet!
